I love The Sims 2 so much that I practically hate it! It's taking over my life. I'm still playing the damn thing at 2am in a morning, and then I don't wake up till 1am the next day! And when I do get up, the computer goes straight back on and The Sims is loaded straight back up! Smeggin addictive rubbishly fantastic thing!

Some good news, for a change. I have been accepted onto a 3 day teacher taster course (before anyone asks, no, I don't know if teachers taste good or not!). The course consists of 2 days in Barnsley having lectures and tutorials, and 1 day is spent in a primary school doing observary type things. I'm quite excited about it, but also a little nervous. I'm not the type of person who likes to go to strange places on her own, and I'm not sure where I have to go yet. I have been told that I will get information and maps through the post, but I still have the feeling I'm going to get a little lost. That kind of silly thing REALLY worry me :s

When the hell am I going to get my loan?!

*sigh*
Convincing people I am right for jobs/courses is a right pain in the backside! How can I make myself seem perfect for it without sounding as if I love myself. I either do that, or make myself sound unsure of the whole thing by using words like 'Think' and 'Maybe'. Stupid bloody application forms!
Not only that, but I also messed up the application form the minute I wrote my name. Surname you say? Ummmm... ooops! So then Cappsy managed to persuade me to scan the form and start again. The only problem with that is my bloody scanner! It wasn't suppose to pick up on the fact that the document happens to be on pail yellow paper. I had to faff around for hours trying to get the scanner to think the paper was white. I finally managed it though... I just hope the people who I'm applying to don't notice the change in colour too much. Surely it's what I write that counts... oh yeah, I forgot, I'm crap at that bit too.
They never make the boxes big enough for my university module titles either. They should either sort that out, or universities should realise and make their titles shorter. Even the UCAS application forms suffer with the same problems, and they work directly with the bloody universities!

Repeat after me; Jono is special.

Everyone is special really though. Except maybe a few whores and theives and murderers and women beaters and thugs and arse holes... But generally, everyone is special. Everyone isn't special to everyone though, but everyone is special to someone. Lots of people are special to me. Also lots of things are special to me...
My BBQ was special to me. Mainly because my guests were special, and are special still... But I had to say were because my BBQ is in the past. A whole week in the past. It was a long time ago now, but I can look ahead at more spcial times with special people. It's actually quite hard to imagine at the moment because I'm skint and everyone I know is skint, which makes it difficult to see everyone I think is special. I miss them. I miss him. I miss you.

Pleb.

Cappsy came back here on Wednesday. We went to see Ocean Colour Scene at the Leadmill. Good gig. It was quite strange that I ended up stood next to a girl I went to college with who I haven't seen for about 2 years. We didn't even see each other at first either... Rather strange.
It was also strange that I was the only non Ocean Colour Scene fan there, but I ended up central on the front row... *giggles*
The basest was very cute, and I kept giving him the eye. The lights must have been on us for parts of the gig, coz he looked at me and grinned embarrassingly a few times... heheheh! Also the singer was wearing pretty tight trousers... mmmmm... Didn't know he was gay though, eeesh!
I was proud to pick up a rather spiffing gig injury. My finger got caught between a metal bar and a falling foot... mmmm pain. It's nicely bruised too :D

Cappsy was in pain all Wednesday and Thursday. I gave him some really strong drugs, mainly because Jen told me he needed codeine. I didn't realise how much codeine was in these though... Jen panicked a bit, but he was fiiiiine! They didn't even take any effect on him, which was strange... They make my dad float :D

I gave Capps an instruction to slap Jono on the tush. The first time I asked him he just told Jono what I had told him to do, he didn't actually do it. So this time I'm expecting him to carry through the entire request. I even text Jono while Cappsy was on his way round there to tell him to make him do it... I didn't hear anything from them though :(

Right... Where do I start?

Friday
It was about 17:17 and I was sat on the wall on platform 2 of Meadowhall train station. The train seemed to take a century to get from the tacks horizon to the platform... Stupid non Virgin trains! I stood and waited for Gemma to appear off the train, but she didn't. I checked all the doors, I checked my watch, I checked the timetable I had printed off. I was in the right place at the right time, but Gemma wasn't. So I started to think all these bad thoughts about what could have happened to her along the way... and yes, I did panic a little! I rung her up and it turned out that she got off in Sheffield, which was a station too soon. I was a little strung out about the whole thing, but happy she was ok. So about 15 minutes later I went through the whole thing again, only this time she was on the train... but I was on the wrong platform so I had to dash a bit and wave frantically from the top of the steps.
My brother gave the both of us a lift from Meadowhall back home, where I gave Gemma an early birthday present and card. It was a little hard to try and find things to do to fill the time before Cappsy, Gav and Mark arrived, but we managed to find a few things to talk about and we iced the cakes I had made for the following days events.
Cappsy, Gav and Mark arrived at about 20:30. Within 5 minutes of arriving Mark had already made me the but of his jokes, I had said 'Throfy' instead of 'Frothy', which seemed to amuse him quite a lot. Git! :p
For the rest of the night we all sat out in the garden drinking under candle light... aww how romantic! It was a fantastic start to the weekend although I was hoping that it could have lasted a little longer than it did :)

Saturday
I woke up at about 7:30, a whole hour before my alarm was supposed to go off. I was fretting to myself about what needed to be done, that had not yet been done. Things like taking the sausages out of the freezer, cleaning down the garden tables, cleaning the BBQ and so on... I got up at 8:00 after not being able to take it any longer! I went downstairs and tried to make as much noise as possible to to wake up the boys... didn't work though. When I went in they were all fast asleep. Gav opened an eye, glared at me, then disappeared under the covers.
Everyone was up and ready for 9:30, which was when Cappsy, Gemma and myself went off to do the shopping and pick up Dave from Rotherham. When we got back Cappsy and Mark both drove off to fetch Danny from Meadowhall. He had previously rung us up to say that he was getting a different train that was more direct, but arrived later than we had planned... this slightly messed up my plans, but after a few stroppy huffs and puffs I was ok.
The BBQ got underway around 12:30ish. Mark was cooking, which was perfect for him really because it allowed him to take centre stage, and the jokes soon started rolling in from his direction.
It wasn't long after that we were all completely stuffed! Well done Mark, despite wasting a whole packet of sausages, you did a very good job... cheers mi dears :)
The day continued with drinking, more laughs, music and a few friendly games of bingo :D The bingo winners were Wendy and Liam. They both received an ice lolly.
It was only about 8:30 when my first guest left. Me, and a few other people, thought that he may have had just a little too much to drink. He started to act just a little bit strangely... *shakes her head*.
We put the tents up before saying bye to Wendy and Liam, then we went inside to watch the Red Dwarf episode of Comedy Connections. Not long after we went back into the garden, where Mark continued to be Mr funny by smoking things like Rolo packets and paper soaked in vodka, which was shortly followed by him setting his hand alight. God knows who invited him ;) We then spent a couple of hours sat around in the tents nattering, before going to sleep.

Sunday
Once again, I was up and about nice and early. I woke up at about 7:00, then poked my head out of the tent at about half past to find the cat trying to get in. She came in for a nosy and a play.
Again, my attempts to wake the boys up by being nosy, failed. Gav was the first male to surface, and I shortly took his place in the boys tent to try and prize the others out of bed. Cappsy was easy to get up and he joined the rest of the crowed in the garden... Mark was a little harder. After about an hour, or maybe longer, of poking, talking, singing, and fighting over pillows and duvets... he finally got up!
We decided to do 2 trips to Meadowhall coz we wouldn't all fit in the car, so Cappsy took Mark, Gav and Danny first at about 12:30. I stayed behind with Gemma, who had just realised she had lost her return ticket back home! After rummaging through all her pockets and bags, and searching the rooms she had been in in my house, we didn't managed to find it :( Cappsy came back to fetch us to go to Meadowhall to join the rest of them. Wendy and Liam made their own way there, and met us in the tram station. It was now time for Chinese :D
After completely stuffing our faces, we swiftly made our way to the train station to wave Gemma off. The weekend was finally coming to an end and it was very upsetting :(
Back at meadowhall we waved goodbye to Wendy, Liam, and Danny, who is spending the rest of the week in Rotherham with them.
We got back to my house, had a drink, then after a lot of wonderful hugs, I waked the rest of them off... Then that was it, I went straight back to bed.

The weekend to me was more than just seeing my friend again and having a laugh. It was also about seeing Mark again properly, not just for a few awkward minutes. I'm very happy with the way things went and I think most of the awkward feelings between us have gone. On Saturday night we spent a good couple of hours having a bit of a heart to heart. We had had a similar discussion when we were going out, and I always remember that as being a great night. On Saturday I felt like I was getting to know him all over again, but as friends this time round, and that really helped me a lot. I feel a lot more comfortable around him for it, and I will definitely be inviting him to any other meet ups I decide to have in the future.
